MARY CELESTE'S LAST BEARING — Ghost Ship Signet Ring (#c592)

THE MARY CELESTE, 1872. Ten people vanished from a seaworthy ship. Their belongings were still aboard. Nobody has ever explained it.
This one is the ship herself.

She left New York on 7 November 1872, bound for Genoa with 1,701 barrels of denatured alcohol. On 4 December the crew of the Dei Gratia spotted her sailing under partial canvas, four hundred miles east of the Azores, yawing badly. They boarded and found her empty.

Six months of provisions. Fresh water. The cargo intact but for nine barrels. Personal effects untouched in every cabin. One lifeboat missing, and ten people who were never seen again.

A heavy signet in 316L stainless steel, cut for a ship that outlived everyone who sailed her.

THE SAME VOYAGE: Her captain's ring is BRIGGS' LAST ANCHOR (#R0052). Her crew's is THE VANISHED CREW (#R0098).

Collectors Note: The centerpiece of The Mary Celeste collection — the ship, the captain, his wife, their daughter, and the crew that never came back.

Material: 316L Stainless Steel
