SMOKE ON THE WATER — Flame Guitar Pendant (#P852)
BEFORE THE BRANDING. Before the merch tables, before anyone called it a lifestyle.
4 December 1971, Montreux. Deep Purple were there to record. Frank Zappa was playing the casino. Somebody in the crowd fired a flare gun into the ceiling and the whole building went up.
The band watched it burn from their hotel across the lake, smoke lying flat on the water. Then they wrote it down. Four notes, and now every guitar shop on earth has a sign asking you not to play it.
Flame etching across the body, deeply oxidised for contrast, with raised strings and tuning pegs polished bright.
Heavy 316L stainless steel. 12 grams, 60mm.
FOLLOW THE SOUND: The other pendants are MASTER OF PUPPETS (#P850) and PAINT IT BLACK (#P871). The red guitar ring is HIGHWAY TO HELL (#R0241).
Collectors Note: Part of the Old School collection.
Material: 316L Stainless Steel
